Trump the Failed Populist
A note from the disenfranchised man
“They are throwing money at her because they have total control over every single thing she does. She is their puppet, and they pull the strings.” – Donald Trump (2016)
Google “populist” and you’ll find a loose definition claiming “A populist is a political figure or movement claiming to represent the ‘ordinary people’ against a ‘corrupt or detached elite’.”
“These are the forgotten men and women of our country. People who work hard but no longer have a voice. I am your voice.”
Trump ran on that platform. He was a voice for the forgotten. He played to people’s fears, their identities as Americans, and the world that they used to know.
“My message is that things have to change – and they have to change right now. Every day I wake up determined to deliver for the people I have met all across this nation that have been neglected, ignored, and abandoned.”
TRUMP WAS NOT WRONG in his messaging here. He represented this idea of dismantling the establishment who had been in the process of acquiring power beyond our conceptions, and Trump did not hide the fact that he stood shoulder to shoulder with these people. He coupled this messaging with an attractive message to the slowly dwindling white and Christian population. He was the representative of this population that had felt this growing ostracization of the world that they knew.
The problem is that this world was advancing with or without these individuals. We are no longer the society that enables the abusive husband, father, segregationist, and women in positions of power have become more of a societal norm. We have progressed so much in the past 100 years. None of this was accomplished without societal progression and the ever advancing knowledge that comes with it.
The problem with progression and knowledge is that it will challenge the individual’s level of comfort in what they know and understand. Telling a Midwestern father of 3 that there is a need for an inclusive society — that message does not register in his world. It threatens it.
So, to truly get that man on your side, you placate to his fears. You tell them that their problem is the transgender child, the minority with the leg up in the hiring process, and the immigrant. But look around — how much do these things truly affect you?
0.8% of adults identify as transgender. Go around to your average workplace in America — the rooms will be dominated with well-established white Anglo-Saxon Protestants and assimilated Roman Catholics. Are these people really losing out?
The immigrant who arrived illegally represents 5% of the American workforce. So, the blame can’t solely be placed on these groups, can it? Because it’s clear that these people do not have as profound of an effect on you as the real powers that be do.
The Lobbyists.
Trump told you that they existed and coupled with the placation to the white Christian man’s identity crisis, Trump was pole-vaulted into power.
Fast forward, through the 10 years of Trump the politician, beginning with the man who claimed that Obama was born in Africa, to the man accused of Russian collusion, to the man who tore apart the Iranian nuclear deal in 2018 presumably at the behest of the Israel lobby, to the man who led an insurrection on the Capitol, to the man who is convicted of crimes in what was largely perceived as a political witch hunt, to the man who is nearly assassinated in Butler, Pennsylvania.
Trump has certainly been on quite the political roller coaster, and with this hellscape Donald Trump landed himself in a predicament that many, in my opinion, have failed to recognize.
What would you do with the impending societal exile, imprisonment, and threats on your life — not only on yourself, but on members of your family? You sell out. You sell the fuck out. And you do it with the Tech Lobby, you do it with the Israeli Lobby, and you do it with every other corporate giant you stand to enable, flying in the face of your supporters and populist message.
You chose a Vice President who has only officially been in politics for 2 years, whose funding came from big tech, as he is a Silicon Valley venture capitalist. You don’t think JD Vance is a plant for these guys to usher in a further technocracy?
“We’re deregulating AI because we can’t lose the AI race to China.” Yeah, right.
You take the 100 million dollars from Miriam Adelson, the wife of the man that you said would make Marco Rubio his “little puppet”, and you take the techno oligarchs — you line them up one by one behind you at your inauguration.
The writing is on the wall. Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, and Sundar Pichai all sitting behind Trump and his family.
But who do we ignore? Who is kept behind the scenes? Elon Musk may be the only visible member of the PayPal Mafia, but there is the real puppet master who pulls the strings — the man who funded JD’s senatorial campaign, his largest donor of 15 million, Peter Thiel, the founder of Palantir, member of the PayPal Mafia.
And to drive it home to prove that they are using identity politics to pull the wool over the white conservative Christian, Thiel is a gay man, emphasizing the hypocrisy of this administration to placate to your social insecurities while they usher in the new world order.
Vance is your Trojan horse. Thiel certainly played a part in lobbying Vance into his spot next to Trump where Vance will open up the world of AI and rampant deregulation as we take the next steps into our late-stage capitalistic society spearheaded by the ever-advancing power of the technocracy.
People are so focused on Trump and his ties to Epstein. We should be paying attention to others, just as well, if not more. JD, the leading candidate to be the Republican nominee in 2028, his top donor is in those files.
People focus on all the sadistic materials in those files but ignore the fact that within them shows an advanced network of power — controlling our lives, enriching themselves, while you and I can’t afford to own a sizeable home on two 6-figure incomes.
Who do you think we’re fighting this war in Iran for?
The Lobbyists.
The American dream is done. They see Trump’s mistakes and will continue to pin Vance as the next big thing, and they will run him as an anti-Israel, anti-war candidate with close confidants like Joe Kent and Tucker Carlson who are staunch objectors to this conflict.
They are setting you up so they can solidify the real new world order of 12x12 apartments that we work in from home, universal basic income, and the latest pharmaceutical fad.
Seems like this is coming whether it be from communism or capitalism.
Didn’t Trump run on defeating all of that in his first campaign?
They must have some shit on him — that or he is really, really, really stupid.
